Discussing 2000 AD at Cymera Festival
One of the events that I was very sad to see cancelled by the COVID-19 crisis was Cymera: Scotlandās Festival of Science-Fiction, Fantasy and Horror. I’d heard good reports about its first year, and I was looking forward to re-visiting Edinburgh.
So I was pleased to hear that the organisers swiftly pivoted and moved the entire festival online.
This means that my 2000 AD panel discussion is back on, and will be taking place on Sunday, 7 June 2020 at 6pm. The event will be moderated by Joe Gordon, I’ll be accompanied by Michael Carroll and Joseph Elliott-Coleman.
Here’s the blurb:
2000 AD is the Galaxy’s Greatest Comics – the legendary home of Judge Dredd and a universe of ground-breaking characters from comics’ top creators. Join 2000 AD writers Michael Carroll, Joseph Elliott-Coleman and Maura McHugh as they discuss what it takes to create those memorable comic book characters.
Tickets: Free / £3 / £5
The event will be hosted live on Zoom. We will send the Zoom link to all attendees a few days before the event.
There are loads of fantastic conversation going on that weekend, so why not read through the programme and see if there are other events you’d like to watch?
