Fun at Thought Bubble 2019

It’s been a few years since I attended Thought Bubble: The Yorkshire Comic Art Festival and what a year to return!

It had a great venue, an amazing selection of comic book vendors/creators,and a strong panel/workshop programme. Plus it was bang in the centre of Harrogate with plenty of amenities and the hotels were all within a short walk. Frankly, it was a dream event, and I say this as someone with plenty of experience running cons.

Huge kudos to Tula Lotay and her hard-working team who have pulled off the best comic book event I’ve ever attended (apologies to the rivals, but this one is hard to beat).

As a comic book writer in the West of Ireland it can be an isolating experience at times, so these events are wonderful to connect to old pals and meet new people, especially those in faraway places.

Thanks for the fun conversations last weekend! I’m amazed that there were so many people I didn’t get around to meeting.
