  • BFS Nominee in Best Non-Fiction

    I was stunned when I received the news that my book about David Lynch’s Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me has been nominated for a BFS British Fantasy Award in the Best Non-Fiction category. You write work and you put it out in the world, and you hope that people will enjoy it. I generally don’t think about awards because there are so many factors involved that a nomination is unlikely.   • We Are the Martians up for a Rondo

    The ballot for the 16th Annual Rondo Hatton Classic Horror Awards is now online – there are loads of amazing titles shortlisted in a wide variety of categories. It’s going to be difficult to choose what to vote for (and please do vote, you have until midnight on 8 April 2018). I should note, least editor Neil Snowdon is disappointed, that We Are the Martians: The Legacy of Nigel Kneale – published by PS Publishing – is up for Book of the Year (among some outstanding company).   • Fire Walk With Me: At Home

    I had wonderful welcome-home loot waiting for me after my trip to Helsinki: copies of my Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me monograph. Even though the book had been published before I left for Finland, the event had the hazy quality of a wistful dream. This wonderful stack of beautifully-produced volumes brought it crashing through the mists of fantasy and firmly into my reality. My thanks to my editor Neil Snowdon at Electric Dreamhouse Press, and Pete Crowther of PS Publishing for putting together such a high quality book.
