• 2014 Laydeez do Comics meeting

Lynda Rucker and I are organising another Laydeez do Comics meeting from 2pm onwards this Saturday in the Odessa Club in Dublin. Our guests will be C.E. Murphy, Philip Barrett, me, and Paul Bolger. We’re also celebrating being on the cusp of the holiday season, so bring along a wrapped comic book for our blind comic book swap – come with one comic and leave with another! Everyone is welcome! Pop along, listen to the speakers, meet the Irish comic book community, and get your comic book fix on!

  • Holiday Laydeez

The third meeting of Laydeez do Comics – Dublin, will take place from 2.30pm – 5pm on Saturday, 30 November, 2013 in the 3rd floor bar of the Odessa Club, 13 Dame Court, Dublin 2 (not the rooftop bar on this occasion). Since we’re on the cusp of the holiday season we’re offering a bumper meeting, and this time it’s taking place during the day at the weekend to facilitate as many people as possible who want to travel to the meeting. Our guests will be Leeann Hamilton, Michael Carroll, and Gareth Gowran & Sadhbh Lawlor. In the spirit of gift-giving we’re also going to have a comic swap at the meeting: please bring along a comic…

  • Laydeez do Comics Two

Lynda Rucker and I can finally release the details of our second Laydeez do Comics – Dublin event, which we’ve been working on since the success of the first meeting in May. It will be happening from 7pm – 9.30pm on Wednesday, 11 September, 2013 in the Rooftop Bar, 3rd floor, of the Odessa Club, 13 Dame Court, Dublin 2. Our guests for this meeting are: Sarah Bracken, Paddy Lynch, and Arja Kajermo – check out their bios on the web site, as they represent a wide range of experience in the independent comic book/cartoon/zine scene. We’re looking forward to the night already!
