BFS Nominee in Best Non-Fiction
I was stunned when I received the news that my book about David Lynch’s Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me has been nominated for a BFS British Fantasy Award in the Best Non-Fiction category. You write work and you put it out in the world, and you hope that people will enjoy it. I generally don’t think about awards because there are so many factors involved that a nomination is unlikely. Fire Walk With Me: At Home
I had wonderful welcome-home loot waiting for me after my trip to Helsinki: copies of my Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me monograph. Even though the book had been published before I left for Finland, the event had the hazy quality of a wistful dream. This wonderful stack of beautifully-produced volumes brought it crashing through the mists of fantasy and firmly into my reality. I’m happy to reveal that I’ve written a Midnight Movie Monograph for Electric Dreamhouse Press, an imprint of PS Publishing, a series curated by editor Neil Snowdon with a focus on critical reactions to cult films.
