Guest of Honour Interview with Claire Wendling
I’m honoured that I’ll be interviewing Artist Guest of Honour, Claire Wendling, at WorldCon 75 in Helsinki. It will be taking place at noon on Friday, 11 August in Messukeskus, Room 103. Claire is a French comic book artist, illustrator, and video games concept designer, who started her career by winning the prestigious “Alph-Art avenir” (“future”/young talent) prize at the Angoulême International Comics Festival while still in her third year of art school. Talking Bande Dessinée on Arena
This evening between 7pm – 8pm I’ll have a segment on Arena – RTÉ Radio 1’s Arts & Culture show – to discuss the forthcoming Fête de la Bande Dessinée, the Irish / French Comic Book Festival, which is taking place from 2 -3 March in Dublin. I’m very much looking forward to this event in Dublin, and delighted to be able chat about it and promote it with the Arena audience. Fête de la Bande Dessinée 2016

Witchfinder Vol 3 en français
Youpi! At the beginning of the month Delcourt published a French translation of Witchfinder volume 3, which has the cooler-sounding subtitle: Les Mystères d’Unland. Here’s the French synopsis of the story: Sir Edward Grey est envoyé à Hallam pour enquêter sur la mort d’un officiel qui était en mission pour le compte de la Couronne. Une fois sur place, on lui raconte la légende d’Unland, une zone marécageuse qui entoure la ville, où des créatures mystérieuses se terrent.
