The Long Kiss Goodnight essay
Arrow Films is releasing a limited edition 2-disc boxed set of the 1996 film, The Long Kiss Goodnight, in 4K UHD. Written by Shane Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, The Nice Guys) and directed by Renny Harlin (Die Hard 2, Cliffhanger) this cult classic is finally getting the attention it deserves.
Starring Geena Davis as Samantha Caine, a school teacher with a past she can’t remember, who embarks on a dangerous journey to recover her memories with a low-rent private eye, Mitch Henessey (Samuel L. Jackson), this is one of my favourite 1990s action films.
I’m delighted to have an essay analysing the film as part of this glorious package. Huge thanks Neil Snowdon at Arrow Films for including me in this well-deserved tribute to a fun and action-packed Christmas thriller.
