Just a short drive from my house is the magnificent Thoor Ballylee, a magical Norman tower in which William Butler Yeats and his wife Georgie Hyde-Lees lived together. Here’s one of the photos I’ve taken over the years:
The Yeats Thoor Ballylee Society is organising two fundraising events tomorrow (Bealtaine’s Eve) with all proceeds going to Ukrainian Refugees in Ireland. Not only can you support people in need but you can also enjoy it in a sublime setting.
1. Afternoon Tea at Thoor Ballylee
From 3pm – 4.30pm indulge in a selection of delicious treats provided by local restaurateurs and businesses.
€20 for the spread in a fabulous location – get your tickets here!
2. Tunes in Thoor
Come along and tap your toes to music from County Galway along with a sampling of Ukrainian Art and Song from 7pm – 9.30pm. Tickets: €20 each.
Well done to the society for their hard work in organising this, and to all those who are donating their products and creatively!
