Audible edition of Judges: Volume Two
What a treat to announce that there’s now an Audible edition of the Judges: Volume Two omnibus, which contains my novella set in the 2000 AD Judges series – Psyche – along with Michael Carroll’s Golgotha and Joseph Elliott-Coleman’s The Patriots.
My novella is read by Madeleine Rose, and it’s the first time I’ve had any work on Audible, so that’s a thrill. At some point I’d like to get more of my stories on Audible as I listen to quite a lot of audio books.
Prior to the COVID-19 outbreak I listened to them more often as they were ideal for car journeys, especially longer ones. But travel has been prescribed here for months now (we finally can travel throughout Ireland tomorrow) so I’ve not been listening as much. My choice of material is usually non-fiction titles as it gives me a chance to expand my knowledge base while navigating the world.
But I have been reading a lot more also, and I’m currently working my way through the entire Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells, which are compelling and diverting science fiction novellas.
And finally, if you want something very silly and fun during these difficult times, especially if you love the Eurovision, then check out the charming, joyful film, EUROVISION SONG CONTEST: The Story Of Fire Saga, which is out on Netflix. Along with the genuinely catchy songs and gentle humour, it also has a sub-pot about murderous elves, which completely won me over.
If you enjoy the film then check out this in-depth discussion on Vulture of how the songs were crafted for the film, which indicates the deep level of care and thought that went into this homage to Europe’s most beloved song contest.
