The Best of British Fantasy 2019

‘Wake the Dead’ in The Best of British Fantasy 2019

I’m very grateful to Jared Shurin for selecting my story ‘Wake the Dead’ for The Best of British Fantasy 2019, which is now available for pre-order.

Of course when Jared approached me he knew I wasn’t British, but the story is original to my 2019 collection The Boughs Withered (When I Told Them My Dreams), which is published by British publisher NewCon Press.

We discussed the matter and I agreed to be included, which is indeed an honour considering the wealth of talent I’m among.

The British Horror/Fantasy scene has always been hugely welcoming of me and my work, and I can easily state that my writing would not be at its current stage without the support, guidance and attention of British editors and publishers.
