Last night I was on Arena, RTÉ Radio 1’s culture show, talking about George R.R. Martin‘s latest book: the 700-page Goliath called Fire and Blood, Volume 1. I’ll note up front that this is a book that is touted as a history, and not a novel, so consider it something akin to Tolkien’s The Silmarillion. Martin has made the joke that this is his ‘GRRMarillion.
