Almost every year since 2002 I’ve attended the horror film festival, FrighFest, which takes place in London during the August bank holiday weekend.
This year I’ll be appearing on a panel organised by the Den Of Geek, called From Page To Scream, from 1pm – 2pm on Sunday, 25 August at the Prince Charles cinema, Leicester Square, London.
Rosie Fletcher, editor of Den Of Geek, will host a panel about how horror works in different media from the page, to the stage to the screen. We’ll talk about the processes and pitfalls of getting a book turned into a show or film, and vice versa with novelisations, how scares differ on the page to other media and about how the landscape of horror is changing in books, film, TV and more.
Joining me on the panel will be Dr Charlie Allbright, Mike Carey, Rebecca Levene and Martyn Waites.
I’m very much looking forward to this conversation!
