I've been writing, but not for this journal

I’ve just finished writing the short story. Thank goodness!

It’s been a roller-coaster ride.

Since I was flying blind with this one, I only discovered, quite late in the game, what it was all about. Let’s hope I’ve communicated it properly. Hopefully I’ll get some useful feedback on it.

I’m moderately happy with it, though I know it will require a couple of re-writes. At the moment I’m just glad to get it out of my head and into data on my computer. Let it deal with it now.

Oh yeah, and I got another magazine rejection during the week. C’est la vie…

I can’t afford any more diversions from writing my screenplay now. The deadline for the first draft is galloping towards me. I don’t want to get trampled.

At least I’ll have Easter break to concentrate on it… or doss about and finish it up in a mad scramble… I’m not sure yet which it will be.
