faded faces from long ago

Photographs that were taken at the Arkansas State Prison from 1915-1937 have been found and printed, on the web, by Bruce Jackson in a series called Mirrors. Each person is only identified as a number, but each nameless picture contains so much character.

As an exercise, I’m going to write a short piece, in sequence, about each of the photographs, and I’ll post them on this blog. I don’t know if I’ll manage one every day, but I’ll do my best.
