settling down

On Monday we had our first proper series of classes on screenwriting. This week everything is coming together, and the class is getting to know one another. So far, so good.

I think that my decision to do this MA will turn out to be a wise one.

At the weekend, when I was at my parents’ house, I finally liberated book hostages that have been under house arrest for some time. The massive, and heavy, Oxford Anthology of English Literature, Volumes I & II. My mother was fond of them too, but I managed to wrangle their release.

A lot of memories are infused in these tomes; I consulted them extensively when I was doing English at College. They are such a damn useful resource, and I’m delighted they’re in my possession again.

Mondays and Tuesdays are long and busy days, and I’m usually not interested in going near the computer afterwards. The rest of the week is less hectic, so I hope to catch up on my reading and writing during that period.

Time to hit the books.

Funny, not too long ago I dug out my two old Oxford Anthologies when moving. Wouldn’t be without ’em, though they are a pain to carry!
