Another day another rejection.
I’ve been thrown off that horse so many times I know every crease in the saddle. Each time I hit the ground, dirt flying in the air, I’m surprised. Despite it I climb back on the nag, and I’m optimistic.
I must be mad.
You’d better climb back into the saddle. Because if you don’t, we’ll pester you until you do.

I knew I’d hit a new low when I found myself identifying with last week’s wretched made-for-tv movie, where the protagonist is a writer, played by Rob Lowe. Everytime he’d pull a rejection slip out of the mailbox my eyes would well up.You know when you are empathizing with Rob Lowe you are in a vulnerable literary condition.
